Supporters reach for the stars in first Star Jump Challenge

Super star jumpers raise more than £3,000 for their local Air Ambulance in the first 150 Star Jump Challenge.

The mission: to complete 150 star jumps every day throughout February to represent the 150 emergencies attended by our crew in February 2023.

The challenge brought together supporters from across the region, all looking to play a part in raising vital funds to keep their local Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Racking up a total of 4,350 star jumps each across the month, the budding star jumpers raised more than £3,000 for our life-saving service. This incredible amount could help us buy vital life-saving equipment, such as blood warming devices – used when treating patients who need an emergency blood transfusion.

“I hope to never need your service but I thank the stars we have you! You do such crucial, important work – I’m proud to have raised money for such a service!” – Star Jumper.

Lily Worth from our Events team, said:

“A huge thank you to all that took part in our inaugural Star Jump Challenge this February. We have been blown away by the support we have received through this venture into virtual events. The money raised will ensure that our crew can continue to be there for our patients when they need it most. We are very excited for our next event!”

As a charity, we receive no government funding and rely entirely on the support from people like you so we can continue to respond to the most critically ill and injured patients across the region.
