South Winchester Golf Club raises £30,252.84

Members of South Winchester Golf Club recently presented your Air Ambulance with a cheque for £30,252.84 – enough to fund up to ten call-outs.

Club Captain, Jo Lockett, supported by Ladies Captain Vicki Dunlop and Seniors Captain John Schonenberger, thanked her Committee and all the Club Members for their hard work and generous support in achieving this magnificent fundraising result, which has been achieved in a multitude of different ways.

From a 24-hour golf marathon at the Club, to running the Paris Marathon, charity dinner auction, quiz nights, charity Christmas card sales, raffles, ladies coffee morning and other generous donations.

Jo Lockett, the Club Captain, said:

“The members of South Winchester Golf Club have been incredible in their support of the Club’s chosen charity during our year of office, and we are thrilled with the result”.

Keith Wilson, Director of Income and Engagement, said:

“We are enormously grateful to everyone at South Winchester Golf Club for their outstanding support throughout a thoroughly enjoyable year partnering with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. They have raised a phenomenal amount of money to fund our service. Indeed, their fundraising total could fund as many as 10 lifesaving missions. The whole team here are in awe of what they have achieved and hope to work together in the future”.
