Eighteen years ago, we took to the skies to on our very first life-saving mission – and now, thanks to the team at Unity Brewing Co, we’re raising a drink to mark the milestone.
To celebrate our 18th anniversary, the Southampton-based brewery has created a limited edition IPA: ‘Crew Brew’.
‘Crew Brew’ is a specially crafted hazy IPA brewed using Chinook and Comet hops, giving flavours of lemon, grapefruit, pine and mango.
You can grab a can of Crew Brew in pubs and bars across the region, or straight from the Unity Brewing Co brewery in Northam, Southampton.
Rob Weston, Unity Brewing Head Brewer, said:
“When the amazing team at Hampshire and Isle of White Air Ambulance approached us about a collaboration in support of their 18th Birthday and the Operation Airbase appeal, we didn’t hesitate in saying yes.
“The incredible work they do is truly inspirational, so we put our heads together to create ‘Crew Brew’. A hazy pale with Comet and Chinook hops (we couldn’t resist the helicopter reference). We have always believed in bringing people “Together Through Beer”. So, please donate and support this fantastic cause.”
Keith Wilson, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Director of Income and Engagement, said:
“On 1 July 2007 the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance took off on its very first flight – a new life-saving service was born. To celebrate our 18th ‘birthday’, it felt right that we partner with a local brewery and launch our very own beer.
“Thank you to Unity Brewing Co for their support and to everyone who has donated and championed us over the past 18 years.”
A huge thank you to Unity Brewing Co for marking our 18th in style. Here’s to the next 18 years.
