Tuesday 1 July marks 18 years since we took off on our very first flight.
Since 2007, our Critical Care Team have responded to more than 21,500 missions across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
For 18 years, our team of dispatchers, doctors, pilots and paramedics have been delivering advanced critical care to those most in need – none of which would have been possible without the support of our community.
From past patients and their families, to local businesses, community groups and charitable trusts – this unwavering support has kept us flying, saving lives and planning for our future. Every mission we attend, every life we touch, is only possible thanks to the generosity of those in our region.
Reflecting on a year of critical care
Since January, we have responded to 1,246 emergencies and on Tuesday (10 June), Specialist Paramedic Nick Gray, Doctor Jamie Plumb and Pilot Chris flew to our 14,000th mission – a medical emergency in Milford on Sea. Watch the video below to find out more about life-saving difference our crew make, both day and night, 365 days a year.
Thanks to your support, we can provide life-saving care to those who need us most. From blood transfusions, to pre-hospital anaesthetic and even open chest surgery – we can bring the hospital to the patient, wherever they may need it
Without this vital pre-hospital care, many patients across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight wouldn’t be alive today.
A huge thank you
Today, (Tuesday 1 July) our team of charity staff and dedicated volunteers have been on a mission to thank as many of our supporters as possible for supporting our life-saving service.
From making phone calls from the charity head office, to visiting businesses and local groups, including Eastleigh Business Networking, Graphic Design House, Mindworks Marketing, Millstream Productions and Red Funnel Ferries, we wanted to say a huge thank you to those who keep us flying and saving lives.
