£15,000 raised through Dash in the Dark, Isle of Wight

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at this year’s Dash in the Dark on the Isle of Wight.

A wave of funky fancy dress, barrels of neon face paint and glowsticks galore lit up the Newport night sky, with more than 400 incredible supporters dashing their way around Seaclose Park.

You have so far raised an astonishing £15,000 – enough to fund up to five emergency call-outs. There is still time to submit your offline donations and even hold your own fundraising event.

Participants included some of our past patients and relatives who have first-hand experience of the life-saving skills of the Air Ambulance team, including Kevan Taylor, Winford, who has been treated and flown to hospital on three separate occasions.

Kevan said:

“It was a privilege to be runner number 1. The whole event was so well organised and a special thank you to all the volunteers who worked hard and supported all the participants throughout the night.”
