HIOWAA Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and we love to see the innovative ways in which our supporters raise funds for us.
Michael Hampton from Colden Common first discovered his green fingers back in 1951 and his gardening skills have gone from strength to strength ever since.
In 2015, with his garden blooming, Mike decided to begin to sell his flowers in return for a donation to HIOWAA. Over the past three years Mike’s beautiful flowers have continued to put a smile on people’s faces, and he has raised an amazing £1,213!
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Community Fundraiser, Erin Jordan commented:
“We can’t thank Mike enough for all his hard work over the past 3 years. His garden is truly stunning, and his donations are so greatly received- he is a true HIOWAA Hero.”
