Freemasons show their support

Since our first flight back in 2007, we have formed a strong bond with many local and national organisations. And the Freemasons are no exception.

Every year, the Freemasons community raise a substantial amount of money to ensure we can continue saving lives. This year alone, the Masonic Charitable Foundation and Masonic Lodges across our region have made over 15 donations to our charity.

On Friday 3 December, we were thrilled to host Jon Whitaker, the recently appointed Head of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Freemasons, and members of the Widow Sons Southern Chapter at our Airbase. Here, they got the chance to see first-hand how their remarkable fundraising efforts and generosity have been put to good use.

The visit also provided a golden opportunity for our CEO, Richard Corbett, to thank the Masons for their longstanding support our service.

During their first meeting, Richard said, “As the new CEO of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, it was great to meet some of the Freemasons and Widows Sons who have championed the work of our Charity for so many years. Our specialist paramedics and doctors may be on the front line, but they are only able to save lives thanks to the amazing support we receive.”

As we enter our 15th year, we thank the Freemasons for their incredible support over the years. Here’s to the next 15!
