Fareham Rotary Club have today announced Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) as their chosen charity for the year. (Thursday 6th September)
The announcement was made at Fareham Shopping Centre, by Lyndon Palmer, President of Fareham Rotary Club and Norman Chapman, Club Secretary.
The money raised from the wishing well based at the shopping centre will be split between HIOWAA and local charity, Marvels and Meltdowns, as chosen by the shopping centre manager, Mike Taylor.
Erin Jordan, Community Outreach Fundraiser for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance attended the announcement and said:
“We’re delighted to have been selected by Fareham Rotary Club. They do some wonderful work and I know they will put their all into raising awareness and funds for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. We’re grateful to the community in Fareham for any spare change they can donate to us in the wishing well this year!”
