Thursday 27th September
A team from the Winchester branch of ADAM Architecture gave up their Sunday morning to run the Winchester Half Marathon for our Charity on Sunday (23rd September).
The team of eleven have been training together over the past few months in preparation for the annual event, which starts and finishes in the centre of Winchester.
Some of them are regular runners and some were completely new to running, but they all completed the 13.1 mile route to support Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The team were well supported and smashed their £1,000 target, raising a fantastic £3,102.50!
Partnerships Manager for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, Ray Southam, commented on their achievement:
“ADAM Architecture have put in so much effort to support us, from their training right through to their fundraising. The Winchester Half Marathon isn’t an easy one, it’s pretty hilly so they set their sights on a huge challenge but they should be incredibly proud. The money they have raised will make a big difference to our Charity. It ensures we can bring our Critical Care Teams to anyone in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in their hour of need.”
